As CEO of Total Wellness Professionals, I have created a multi-faceted program in which our clients have the option to receive many different types of wellness services at locations that are both convenient and relaxing. Through providing outcall services for our valued clientele for over five years, the concept has evolved into a successful venture where individuals can choose to have their spa services performed in the privacy of their own homes or a specifcally chosen preferred location. Receiving a relaxing service such as a massage or personal yoga session in the client’s location of choice makes not having to drive home after just another way that Total Wellness Professionals places the well-being of the individual as our highest priority.

I was born and raised in New Jersey and later moved to South Florida to pursue my education in the natural health industry. I received my education from the Florida College of Natural Health and completed my Associate of Science in Natural Health with a concentration in Advanced Therapeutic Massage and Skin Care. In October 2004, I studied with world-renowned yoga teacher Jimmy Barkan and became certified in the Barkan Method of hot yoga. After receiving my degrees, I worked at major destination resort spas including the Mandarin Oriental in Miami, Florida and Chateau in Deer Valley, Utah as well as a local hot spot called Man Kind, located in Fort Lauderdale, which provides many different barber and salon services geared specifically towards men.

Through my experiences working at onsite spas, the concept of TWP was born as a result. Although the ambiance in a spa-type setting is generally soothing and relaxing, there is an unspoken time schedule which must be adhered to which many times leaves the client feeling that they must get up and leave the room while he or she is still in a treatment induced euphoric state. This aspect of the process never sat well with me, and regardless of how content a client seemed, I knew there must be a better way to go about making the experience even more comfortable and convenient for the individual. Hence, the birth of TWP, where we come to you; ultimately, your time frame becomes our time frame, and your comfort and satisfaction is our only priority.

Our staff continues to grow with a steady stream of new clients, and our education of all current holistic trends grows with us. I, along with my staff, continue to strive to educate TWP as a whole in our chosen specialties. Because South Florida is my home, I am committed not only to adding to the positive growth here but in supporting my community with involvement in different local charities and functions. Please allow us the pleasure of bringing you your next spa service in the comfort, relaxation and privacy of the location of your choice.

I am a native to Fort Lauderdale, and when I graduated high school I began pursuing my modeling and promotions career. This lifestyle allowed me to travel to many destinations and exotic locales. I have been to Greece, Spain, and Puerto Rico and have worked for Tommy Hilfiger, IZOD, and Shape magazine and thus far have had amazing experiences in my young life. After six years of modeling, I was at a crossroads with career paths and realized modeling may be a very short lived career. I decided to go back to school and better myself, finding a new passion for massage therapy. One day I had a business meeting with Ali Hecht, the founder of TWP, and she mentioned how she was doing with her company and massage therapy as a career. She told me I should consider massage therapy as a career choice of  my own and to grow with the company. Since I had a natural urge to want to help people, I decided massage school would be an amazing option in which I could, in fact, help people through my career. Also the ability to create my own schedule was vastly appealing to me. Another exciting aspect of the opportunity was the business side of the company. The fact I know I am bringing in constant leads with my contacts makes me feel like I’m doing something to help us all as a business and family! We are a large team and need to all work together!

I enjoyed school so much! I learned mulitple techniques of the trade and ideas on how to utilize my knowledge. I gained a sense of enlightenment that I hadn’t had previously. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. While I was in school, I was working for Ali through TWP doing promotions, hostess’s events, and helping build and grow TWP. Now, after being out of school for about two years and still working with TWP, I like to consider myself Ali’s right hand woman. I’ve also gained my own style with massaging that makes me unique, and having clients rebook is fantastic. I specialize in Swedish, deep tissue, salt scrubs and aromatherapy. The reason why I enjoy doing massage is because I love the spa-like atmosphere but love the flexibility with making my own appointments. I’m energized from the aromatherapy scents and really get into the music. Every massage stroke has a rhythm and flows with the music, which puts the client in a deeper relaxation. I also love doing more therapeutic work as well, especially concerining sporting events. I like to be challenged; for instance, when a client comes to me with a certain muscle dysfunction, it’s my job to study everything, from their walk, posture, respective stress, or even the way they sleep. It’s amazing how simply changing certain habits can make a difference–and making a difference is what I want to do with my life.
